Don Curtis is a professor in the Division of Prosthodontics at University of California San Francisco. He received his DMD in 1981 from the University of Oregon and certificate in maxillofacial prosthodontics from UCLA in 1985. Dr. Curtis is past president of the Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics and American Board of Prosthodontics. His research interests include evaluating bone strain around dental implants during wound healing and how bone implant contact is influenced by strain. Recent publications have focused on maintenance issues related to dental implants. Dr. Curtis is also involved in professional development and how students accept feedback.
